Visitanos en Facebook.
Nos han llegado algunos correos preguntándonos porque ya no actualizamos la página, la verdad es que si se ha actualizado, quizá en menor medida que antes, ya que los tiempos cada vez se complican más.
PERO... Estamos dentro de facebook, en donde no solo una persona es la encargada de publicar las notas, traducir (casi nunca), poner vídeos, enlaces, etc. (más la misma idea más no discos oficiales).
Visitanos en menos de un año tenemos casi 700 miembros, además de que el ambiente es hasta el momento maduro y se mantiene una armonía con las personas, ya que muchos nos conocemos en la vida real.

El regalo de Paul Weller a Paul McCartney
El día de hoy Sir Paul McCartney cumple 70 años, y para celebrarlo, Paul Weller hace el honor de coverear la canción de The Beatles: ‘Birthday’ de 1968. Weller y su banda hacen con teclado afilados y trompetas espirituales, una gran celebración para Sir Paul.
‘Yo quería hacer algo por el 70a
cumpleaños de Paul. El hombre ha sido, y sigue siendo, una inmensa y
duradera inspiración para mí. Fueron él y sus tres amigos los que me
hicieron querer coger una guitarra, en primer lugar’, dijo Weller . ‘Lo
vi tocar en vivo hace poco y me inspiró tanto como siempre, fue
brillante. Sólo espero que le guste nuestra pequeña versión, una muestra
de amor de mi y de parte la banda para él y su música’.
La versión de Weller versión de ‘Birthday’ estará disponible para su descarga el 18 de junio (o sea solo hoy),exclusivamente en Amazon . Weller donará todas sus ganancias a la organización War Child.

Los Smashing Pumpkins están a punto de publicar su nuevo
disco Oceania el próximo 18 de junio y además, se
presentarán en Venezuela el 26. Y en el marco de ambos sucesos, Billy
Corgan, de 45 años, concedió una entrevista al semanario británico NME en la
cual le ha soltado un par de recados a Radiohead, a quienes ha llamado “pretenciosos”.
Al músico se le preguntó por la fama que el Rock tiene en la música actual y Corgan no se limitó: “No hay nadie, aparte de Weird Al Yankovic que haya abrazado y se haya meado en el Rock más que yo. Obviamente, hay un nivel de respeto. Aunque también hay que ser inteligente para saber en lo que te meas”.
Y continuó: “Porque no me estoy meando en Rainbow, no estoy meando en Deep Purple, pero me meo en los putos Radiohead, porque todo en ellos es pretencioso. En este sistema de valores actual que afirma que Jonny Greenwood (guitarrista de Radiohead) es más valioso que... Ritchie Blackmore… No, ese no es el mundo en el que yo crecí”.
Sigue: “¿Es Ritchie Blackmore un mejor guitarrista que yo y que Jonny Greenwood? Sí. ¿Hemos contribuido todos al Rock? Sí, también. Lo que yo ataco es la pomposidad con la que se dice que una cosa es más valiosa que otra. Estoy harto de esas cosas. Me ponen enfermo y nadie parece cansarse de ello”.

El siguiente fin de semana Noel Gallagher se presentará en Isle Of Wight festival junto a bandas como:Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty y Pearl Jam. Antes de que de inicio su breve gira por la Gran Bretaña

Nuevo tema de Blur al descubierto.
No hay nada claro aun, la gente no está segura si regresará Blur con algún disco, EP o con alguna gira. Pero hay esperanzas.
Lo cierto es que Damon Albarn durante su participación en el Poetry Olympics
realizado en Londres, interpretó lo que muchos piensan se trata de una
nueva canción de Blur. De acuerdo con el también líder de Gorillaz,
grabó esta canción la semana pasada y “saldrá en un par de semanas”.
Con tantos proyectos en que participa
Albarn, es difícil decir a cuál de ellos pertenece este nuevo tema, pero
recordando las declaraciones que hiciera en mayo el productor de “13”,
William Orbit, respecto a que los cuatro integrantes de Blur han trabajado en nuevo material, las expectativas crecen.
Como siempre, habrá que esperar… Por cierto, en el video la canción comienza en el minuto 2:30.

Nueva mezcla DJ de Andy Bell (Beady Eye)

'I put this mixtape together for my own entertainment towards the end of the last tour. It got a few plays backstage after gigs on the last UK dates... then I passed it on to Pretty Green when they asked me for some music to use this Spring in their stores and online. DJ Shadow and Stereolab tunes feature heavily as I was listening to them a lot at the time.... One of the DJ Shadow tracks is a really short segment of a much longer live mix CD called Brainfreeze, which I picked up in Melbourne a few years ago - in other words, that's not me scratching it's DJ Shadow haha... get hold of the CD if you can, it's cool.The first track..is an old Krautrock tune, the vocals may not be to everyones taste, she kind of sounds like Grace Slick meets Johnny Rotten.. No apologies.. to the taste police, who will be after me for including Joan Armatrading... she's a great acoustic guitarist and I dug that CD out after 20 years since I last heard it... Enjoy - and thanks for listening.
